Over the past 16 years, a total of 977 infrastructures and institutions have been renamed across the country after ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her family members, and various Awami League politicians, according to a recent statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
These names now appear on everything from cantonments, air bases, and naval ships to mega bridges, highways, schools, universities, hospitals, research centers, and more.

“Most of these institutions have already been renamed. The rest are currently in the process of being renamed,” the statement confirmed.
