Letter seeking justice for Hadi’s murder found in Pagla Mosque donation box

Along with 35 bags of money and a huge amount of gold ornaments, numerous letters were found in the donation box of the historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj, one of which demanded ‘public justice for Hadi’s murder’.

This sensational information came to light after the mosque’s 13 donation boxes were opened on Saturday (December 27) morning.

It is known that when the donation box was opened after three months and 27 days, one of the letters found went viral on social media Facebook. An anonymous person wrote the letter. The letter reads,

“হাদি হত্যার প্রকাশ্যে বিচার চাই।”

Translation : “I want public justice for Hadi’s murder.”

Some such letters were found in the donation box before, which were later discussed on social media. One of the letters read,

“ডাইনি হাসিনাকে তার কর্মের শাস্তি না দেখা পর্যন্ত আমাকে বাঁচিয়ে রেখ। আল্লাহ অনেক আলেমকে কষ্ট দিয়েছেন। আমার প্রিয় সাঈদিকে অনেক অত্যাচার করা হয়েছে।”

Translation : “Keep me alive till I see witch Hasina getting punishment for her actions. Allah has caused many scholars pain. My beloved Saeed has been tortured a lot.”

The letter also reads,

“হে আল্লাহ, আমার প্রিয় বাংলাদেশে একজন ওমর (রা.)-এর মতো শাসক পাঠাও।”

Translation : “Oh Allah, send a ruler like Omar (RA) to my beloved Bangladesh.”

Kishoreganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mijabe Rahmat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Jasmine Akhter, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Kamrul Hasan Maruf, Rupali Bank Assistant General Manager (AGM) Mohammad Ali Hareshi were present at the money counting.
Moreover , 220 students from the historic Jamia Imdadia Madrasa and 120 students from the Nurul Quran Hafiziya Madrasa of Pagla Mosque, 100 bank officials and employees, 34 members of the mosque committee and 20 members of the law enforcement agencies participated in the counting.
