Higher Than Same Month Last Year

This inflow in March 2025 stood at about $3.29 billion, which was previously the highest monthly figure on record. The latest inflow has now surpassed that record, setting a new milestone for the country’s economy.

Strong Remittances Trend in Recent Months

The country has seen a steady increase in remittance inflows in recent months. January and December of last year also recorded among the top three highest monthly remittance figures, indicating a sustained upward trend in foreign earnings sent by migrant workers. The record-breaking remittance in March reflects strong confidence among expatriate Bangladeshis in formal banking channels and has provided crucial support to the country’s foreign exchange reserves at a time of global economic uncertainty.
