A five-storey residential building collapsed in Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, leading to the death of at least five people and injuring six others. Authorities fear that more people may still be trapped under the debris.
According to AFP, which referenced local police sources, the event happened on Friday, July 4.

Rescue Efforts Ongoing
Senior police officer Arif Aziz told AFP that five bodies have been recovered so far, and six injured people have been rescued from the collapsed building. He affirmed that emergency personnel are currently combing through the debris as part of ongoing rescue efforts.
The collapse happened at around 10:10 am local time in Karachi, which is 11:10 am Bangladesh time.
Authorities are working to clear the site and search for any remaining survivors who may still be stuck beneath the damaged structure.
