Two students from the Department of Social Sciences at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have been detained by police for allegedly raping a female classmate after making her unconscious and recording nude videos and photos of her.
The two accused are:
-

They both are from the 2021-22 academic session.
Complaint Filed by the Survivor
The female student submitted a written complaint to the university’s proctor on 19 June. In the complaint, she stated that on 2 May, she went out to attend a concert in the city with her two classmates, Shanto and Swagata.
But before the concert, they took her to a hostel in the Surma area. There, the two boys allegedly made her unconscious and raped her.
