Black Money Legalisation Option Removed
The interim government has officially approved the national budget of Tk7.9 lakh crore for the 2025–26 fiscal year. The approval came on 22 June during a meeting led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus. The budget will be implemented starting from 1 July 2025.

This final version of the budget includes only minor changes to the earlier proposal that was shared at the beginning of June. Most of the plan remains the same as before.
Black Money Whitening Provision Cancelled
One important change is that the black money whitening provision has been removed. This means people will no longer be allowed to legalise black money by investing in flats or buildings, a rule that was present in previous years.

No Parliament Debate or Vote
Since the country currently does not have an active parliament, the budget was approved without any formal debate or vote—a process that usually happens in regular years.
