The total foreign currency reserve of Bangladesh now stands at $26.82 billion, according to the latest data shared by Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan on Monday, 23 June.
IMF Standard Shows $21.75 Billion Reserve (BPM6 Format)
Based on the International Monetary Fund’s BPM6 (Balance of Payments Manual-6) standard, Bangladesh’s reserve currently stands at $21.75 billion.
In numbers, this is $2,175 crore 8 lakh 20 thousand.
The amount that can be spent right away, or the useable reserve, is approximately $17 billion.

Bangladesh Bank’s Own Calculation
As per Bangladesh Bank’s own method of calculating reserves, the total reserve is currently $2,682 crore 31 lakh 50 thousand, which is $26.82 billion.
