In the first half of Wednesday’s trading session, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) showed a positive trend, while the Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) faced a decline. However, in both markets, most company shares increased in price.
DSE Index Moves Up in Early Hours
On the fourth working day of the week (Wednesday), trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange started with a rise. The main index DSEX went up by 29 points. Other indexes also showed growth —

The Shariah-based index (DSES) increased by 9 points,

And the blue-chip index (DS30) rose by 13 points.

During the first half of the session:

250 companies saw a price increase,
-
53 companies experienced a fall,
-
While 85 companies remained unchanged.
The total trading value in Dhaka during this time crossed Tk 160 crore.
CSE Index Falls Despite Mixed Share Performance
Meanwhile, in the Chattogram Stock Exchange, the overall index dropped by 34 points during the same period.
Out of the 117 companies that took part in the trading:

50 companies’ share prices increased,
-
48 companies saw a decrease,
-
And 19 companies had no change in price.
The total trading value in Chattogram during the first half stood at around Tk 8.48 crore.
