For the first time, Noakhali Royals is set to make its mark in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) through a new franchise named Noakhali Royals.
The potential of Noakhali joining BPL took a major step forward when Shayan’s Global, a commercial enterprise, officially submitted an application to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on June 24. The company has requested ownership rights for the new team and expressed its willingness to fulfill all the BPL’s requirements.
A crucial BCB meeting scheduled for June 30 is expected to include discussions about the next season of the BPL. Ahead of this, Sayan’s Global has already generated buzz by actively preparing to bring Noakhali into the league.

In their formal letter to the BCB President, the company wrote that they not only want to see Noakhali joining BPL, but also aim to invest in developing cricket in the Noakhali region. This dual commitment to sports excellence and regional growth strengthens their case for franchise approval.
If approved, Noakhali Royals will become the first-ever team from the district to participate in BPL, opening a new chapter in the league’s history and expanding its geographic and fanbase reach.
