U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Israel has agreed to the conditions needed for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, he posted this information on his personal social media account, Truth Social.
A Long and Productive Meeting with Israeli Officials
Trump mentioned that his representatives had a long and successful meeting with Israeli officials. He wrote that during this 60-day ceasefire, all sides will work together to stop the war.
Final Proposal Sent to Hamas Through Mediators
Trump also said that Qatar and Egypt, who are helping to mediate the talks, will soon send the final proposal to Hamas, the Palestinian resistance group.

Trump Urges Hamas to Accept the Deal
In his message, Trump called on Hamas to accept the ceasefire for the sake of peace in the Middle East. He added, “There is no better option than this. If Hamas refuses, the situation will get worse.”
Possible Peace Deal Next Week
Earlier, while speaking to reporters, Trump said he is hopeful that a ceasefire deal could be completed next week.
Netanyahu to Visit Washington for Talks
Trump also shared that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Washington next week. They will discuss Gaza and Iran issues during the meeting.
Trump said,
“He (Netanyahu) is coming here. We will talk about many things, including our past success with Iran, and of course, Gaza.”
