Mahfuz Alam, the Information and Broadcasting Advisor, has announced that the government will fund the production of two full-length films and eight short documentaries or short films focused on the July student uprising.
He shared the news through a post on his verified Facebook profile on Tuesday night (July 1).
Tk 5 Crore Special Budget for July-Themed Productions
According to Mahfuz Alam, a special allocation of Tk 5 crore will be provided this week to support the production of these July-themed films and documentaries.

He also mentioned that additional films will be made on topics such as enforced disappearances, killings, and oppression from the last 16 years. These include:

All of these projects will be supported by government grants.
BTV to Air 36 Documentaries in 36 Days
Bangladesh Television (BTV) will broadcast 36 documentaries in 36 days throughout the month of July. In addition to these, 4 special documentaries will also be shown on BTV.
200+ Documentaries Planned by Film Archive
Mahfuz Alam said the Film Archive will soon start working on the production of 200 or more documentaries related to the July uprising.
So far:

Honouring the Martyrs of July
In his post, Mahfuz Alam paid tribute to the martyrs of July, writing:
“Salute to the martyrs of July. We will not let the memory of July fade away.”
