Tapashi Tabassum Urmi, former Assistant Commissioner at the Lalmonirhat DC office, has been dismissed from government service following a controversial Facebook post criticizing the interim government and its Chief Adviser, Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

According to a government circular issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (July 2), she was permanently dismissed after a departmental investigation proved allegations of misconduct. In her viral post, Tapashi accused the interim Chief Adviser of erasing the nation’s history with a so-called “reset button,” writing:
“The Chief Adviser of the unconstitutional interim government says the reset button has been pushed. The past is gone. So simple? The countdown has begun for you, sir.”

She also made critical remarks about martyred intellectual Shahid Abu Sayeed and posted in favor of the ousted regime during the recent mass uprising, sparking widespread backlash.
