Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has warned that the ongoing crimes and corruption under the guise of politics will be dealt with by the people.

He said, “I warn those responsible for these acts beware and control yourselves. Otherwise, the people will take matters into their own hands, InshaAllah. Prepare for the upcoming struggle.”

He made these remarks during a street rally at Padua Bazar, Comilla, on Saturday morning (July 5). Earlier, he also addressed a similar rally in Alekhar Char.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasized that the bloodshed that overthrew autocracy must not be betrayed. “We want to honor that sacrifice, but the nation should not have to keep making such sacrifices. The fairness of the upcoming election will shape our future,” he said.

He rejected rigged elections marked by symbols like ’14’, ’18’, and ’24’, saying people have brought change through blood before and will do so again if needed. “This nation has never spared those who abuse power, and neither will we.”

He called on youth, students, and workers to rise like before and carry the spirit of sacrifice to secure their rights and leave a peaceful nation for the next generation.

The rally was presided over by Comilla Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer Kazi Din Mohammad and conducted by Secretary Mahbubur Rahman. Other speakers included central leaders such as Maulana ATM Mohammad Masum, Mohammad Shahjahan, Professor Abdul Matin, Mohammad Mosleh Uddin, Professor Emdadul Haque Mamun, and several regional leaders and candidates.
