“No one can stop the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) in Bangladesh,” declared Akhtar Hossain, Member Secretary of the NCP, in a fiery speech at a street rally held at the Satmatha Mukta Mancha in Bogura on Saturday afternoon.
Akhtar proclaimed, “B for Bogura, B for Bangladesh. From this very Bogura, NCP’s political journey will spread across the entire nation, InshAllah.”
Referring to the suffering of Bogura’s people, he said, “For 16 years, people here have faced unspeakable oppression. They couldn’t stay in their homes, were forced to sleep in fields—but they never bowed down. We fought fascism and achieved a new Bangladesh. We will not let it fall back into the hands of extortionists and fascists.”
He acknowledged the challenges of doing politics in Bogura, saying, “Practicing NCP politics here is not easy—there are threats, obstacles, and intimidation. Yet, the brave people of this area have stood strong, protested, and joined our movement for fundamental reform.”
“The courageous people of Bogura have proven that no one can stop NCP in the future of Bangladesh,” Akhtar stated with conviction.
He went further, declaring, “The streets of Bangladesh will be claimed by the NCP. The parliament will be claimed by the NCP. And Bogura’s people will play the leading role in reshaping the country’s political future.”

Criticizing the ruling Awami League, Akhtar alleged, “Awami League, Chhatra League, and Sheikh Hasina have committed abductions, killings, and acts of repression. They are responsible for crimes against humanity. We demand justice. If anyone tries to rehabilitate these criminals in politics, the people of Bogura will rise and resist.”
Calling for fundamental reforms, he said, “To build a new Bangladesh, the old system must be dismantled. Without structural reform, the people of Bogura will not return home. We need a new system and a balanced structure of power in the country.”
Concluding his speech, Akhtar addressed party members and supporters, saying, “Brother Sakib Mahadi has devoted his life to the people of Bogura. He remains ready to serve them in the future. Will you stand with him? InshAllah, under his leadership, we will build a new, democratic Bangladesh.”
