Popular actor and model Salman Muqtadir has cautioned people not to fall into the trap of political agendas surrounding Sohag’s murder.
The brutal murder of Sohag a scrap goods trader, in front of Mitford Hospital in Dhaka has outraged the entire nation. The shocking incident took place in broad daylight and has left the public stunned.
The release of the video footage on social media has sparked a wave of protests. From ordinary citizens to celebrities, many have expressed anger and demanded justice.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Salman wrote:
“The rapes and murders that break your heart often become a source of political amusement for others. Just because someone speaks up during a national crisis doesn’t mean they stand for justice they’re just seizing the opportunity for their own benefit, not out of humanity or empathy.”

He continued,
“Those who have always stood by your side selflessly—many of them have lost their lives or limbs. People who truly work for the betterment of the country never do so for political outcomes.”
Salman warned the public:
“Know your surroundings. Don’t fall into the traps of those who use your emotions to serve their own goals. They want you to become emotional and helpless, so you see them as your saviors. Don’t just chase after political organizations. Your goal should be to stand against crime and criminals regardless of their party affiliation.”
