Mangoes for Tripura Sent Earlier

Earlier, on Thursday, July 11, Bangladesh sent 300 kilograms of Haribhanga mangoes as gifts to the Chief Minister of Tripura and other well-known individuals in the state. The mangoes were sent through the Akhaura land port at 5:15 PM, packed in 60 cartons.

A Tradition of Gift Exchange

Every year, the Bangladesh government sends seasonal gifts, especially mangoes and other fruits, to the Tripura state government and other important Indian figures. In return, the Tripura government sends back delicious fruits, especially their famous juicy “Queen” variety pineapples, to Bangladesh as a symbol of goodwill.

‘Mango Diplomacy’ Continues

This entire mango-gifting effort has been organized by the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is being carried out through an official exporter.
This initiative is often called “Mango Diplomacy”, a tradition that started during the previous administrations and still continues today. It represents friendship, goodwill, and mutual respect between Bangladesh and India.
