Mymensingh, July 17, 2025 (Thursday) Nayeb-e-Amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Mohammad Faizul Karim (Charmonai Pir), said at a public meeting, “Ziaur Rahman established Razakars in this country. Many in his government were Razakars.”
He made these remarks while addressing the public meeting organized by the South District Branch of Islami Andolan Bangladesh in Trishal, Mymensingh as the chief guest.
In his speech, he said,
‘শেখ হাসিনা ছাত্র-জনতাকে রাজাকার বলে গালি দিয়েছিলেন। পরে তাকেই দেশ ছাড়তে হয়েছিল। এখন যারা একইভাবে রাজাকার বলে গালি দিচ্ছে, ভবিষ্যতে জনগণ তাদেরও প্রত্যাখ্যান করবে।’
Translation: “Sheikh Hasina abused the students and the public by calling them Razakars. Later, she had to leave the country. Those who are now abusing them in the same way by calling them Razakars, the people will also reject them in the future.”

Addressing BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam, he said,
আগে আপনার দলের কর্মীদের গণতন্ত্র শিক্ষা দিন। পরে অন্যদলের গঠনমূলক সমালোচনা করুন। এ দেশের মানুষ অতীতে তিনটি দলের শাসন দেখেছে, এখন তারা ইসলামী দলগুলোর শাসন দেখতে চায়।
Translation: “First teach democracy to your party workers. Then constructively criticize other parties. The people of this country have seen the rule of three parties in the past, now they want to see the rule of Islamic parties.”
Stating that the fight against right and wrong has begun, he further said,
আগামী নির্বাচনে ইসলামী দলগুলোকে মানুষ ক্ষমতায় দেখতে চায়। আপনারা আওয়ামী লীগ, বিএনপি ও জাতীয় পার্টিকে ক্ষমতায় দেখেছেন। এবার ইসলামী দলগুলোকে একবার পরীক্ষা করে দেখেন। যদি দেখেন আমরা দুর্নীতি করছি তবে আর কোনোদিন আমাদের ভোট দিবেন না। একবার ইসলামী দলগুলোকে সুযোগ দিয়ে দেখেন, আশা করি ঠকবেন না।
Translation: “People want to see Islamic parties in power in the next election. You have seen Awami League, BNP and Jatiya Party in power. Now check the Islamic parties once. If you see that we are corrupt, then never vote for us again. Give Islamic parties a chance once, I hope you will not be disappointed.”
During this time, he announced the names of the candidates of Islami Andolan Bangladesh for 9 out of 11 seats in Mymensingh division.
The rally was presided over by Maulana Mamunur Rashid Siddiqui, President of the Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mymensingh South District Branch. The special guests who spoke were—
