Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman has said that a country cannot move forward without having humane and good people. He highlighted the importance of discipline and human values in overcoming global challenges and building a prosperous nation.
“মানবিক ও ভালো মানুষ না হলে দেশের উন্নতি সম্ভব না।”
“Without humane and good people, the development of a country is not possible.”
MIST International Conference Comes to a Close
He made these remarks on Saturday, 19 July, during the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka.

Importance of Engineering Education in Development
During his speech, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of engineering education in national development.
“শৃঙ্খলা মেনে চললে দেশই লাভবান হবে। উন্নয়নের জন্য প্রকৌশল শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম।”
“If we follow discipline, the country will benefit. Engineering education plays a crucial role in development.”
He also handed out awards to five individuals in five different categories at the event.
