A training plane crashed into a building of Milestone School and College in the capital’s Uttara area, killing 20 people and injuring 171, according to reports. The tragic accident occurred around 1 pm, immediately casting a shadow of grief across the capital.
Rescue operations began immediately after the plane crash. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals. Emergency services, armed forces and fire service members are working at the scene to deal with the situation.

Meanwhile, heartbreaking news has been received about Fatima, a third-grade student of Milestone School’s Bengali version who went missing in the accident. Her father, Boishakhi Television staff reporter Leon Mir, confirmed that his daughter’s body was found at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). He said,
আমার মেয়ে আর নেই। তার মরদেহ সম্মিলিত সামরিক হাসপাতালে (সিএমএইচ) রয়েছে।
Translation: My daughter is no more. Her body is at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Earlier in the afternoon, Leon Mir made an appeal on social media, informing about the disappearance of Fatima. Later, Fatima’s death was confirmed by the military hospital. The entire country is mourning this terrible accident. People from all walks of life are expressing their condolences, praying for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.
