Metrorail Extends Operating Hours

To help fans attend the second T20 match between Bangladesh and Pakistan on Tuesday (July 22), authorities have extended the operating hours of Dhaka’s Metrorail service for today only.

Additional Trains to Run After 9 PM

According to a press release from Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), three extra trains will run tonight after the usual service ends. These special trains will leave Uttara North Station at:

  • 9:15 PM

  • 10:00 PM

  • 10:15 PM

All three trains will go toward Motijheel Station.

Return Trains from Motijheel Also Scheduled

For the return journey, three more trains will depart from Motijheel Station heading back to Uttara North at the following times:

  • 9:55 PM

  • 10:40 PM

  • 10:55 PM

Ticket Counters to Remain Open Late

To support passengers during this extended period, single journey ticket counters will remain open at all stations until 10:15 PM.

Only for Today

Authorities confirmed that this extended schedule is valid only for July 22, due to the cricket match. On regular days, the last Metrorail train departs:

  • From Uttara North at 9:00 PM

  • From Motijheel at 9:40 PM
