Mechanical Glitch in Chattogram to Dhaka Flight

Due to a technical fault, a Biman Bangladesh flight departing from Chittagong for Dhaka was forced to return to Chittagong shortly after landing. The flight landed safely at Shah Amanat International Airport, with all passengers safe and sound. The flight landed successfully at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong at 8:58 am on Thursday (July 24).

According to report, Biman Bangladesh flight BG-148 landed in Chittagong from Dubai, United Arab Emirates at 7:15 am on Thursday. Later, the flight started its journey to Dhaka at 8:37 am with 287 passengers. However, shortly after takeoff, the flight developed a mechanical fault. As a result, the flight’s destination was changed and it was sent back to Chittagong.

Shah Amanat International Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil said,

যান্ত্রিক ত্রুটির কারণে ফিরে আসা বিমানটি চট্টগ্রামে নিরাপদে অবতরণ করেছে। বিমানটি বিমানবন্দরের বে নম্বর-৮ এ অবস্থান করছে। ফ্লাইটের যাত্রীরা নিরাপদে রয়েছেন।
Translation: The plane, which returned because of a technical fault, has landed safely in Chittagong. The plane is at Bay No. 8 of the airport. The passengers of the flight are safe.
