NCP leader Nahid Islam vows to build a discrimination-free Bangladesh where no temple needs guarding. Emphasizes equality, justice, and unity during visit to Jamalpur’s Doyamoyee Temple.

NCP leader Nahid Islam stated on Sunday (July 27) night that he envisions a Bangladesh where no one will ever need to guard a temple again.

He made this remark while visiting the Doyamoyee Temple in Jamalpur as part of the ongoing “July March to Build the Nation” campaign.

Nahid Islam said, “The National Citizen Party promises to build a Bangladesh free from discrimination for all citizens — a country where everyone will enjoy equal rights and dignity as citizens, regardless of their background.”

He added, “We dream of a Bangladesh where people rise above communal divisions and live equally. A Bangladesh where no temple has to be guarded ever again. A country where people of all faiths can pray in safety. We speak in favor of protecting every religion and every element of our national and cultural identity.”

Reflecting on the country’s history, the NCP leader said, “We recognize that over the past 54 years, Bangladesh has struggled with inequality. We have not yet secured equal rights, the spirit of the Liberation War, justice, or dignity for all. But today, the youth have taken to the streets demanding a new Bangladesh. And we  as the National Citizen Party  are working toward that dream. We ask for your prayers and support.”

He further said, “As a political party led by young people, we are open to people of all ages- men and women, of all religions. We hope for your cooperation.”

Nahid Islam concluded by affirming the party’s stance: “As a political force, we stand with all communities, all religions, all ethnic groups. We will always stand for justice and truth.”

Present at the event were NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, Joint Secretary and Jamalpur District Coordinator Lutfor Rahman, National Youth Force Joint Convener Hifzur Rahman Bakul, and organizer Mosaddekur Rahman, among others.
