‘July Declaration’ to Be Read in The Capital on August 5, day-long Event at Manik Mia Avenue

The awaited ‘July Declaration’ will be read at 5 pm on August 5 at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital. The main event for reading the declaration will be held at the day-long ’36 July Celebration’ event. The event, organized to mark the one-year anniversary of the mass uprising that took place on July 36 last year, will feature cultural performances, songs by Artcell and various programs. The event is being implemented by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, in collaboration with the National Parliament Secretariat. The July Declaration was finalized by the interim government based on the opinions of various political parties.

The nation’s long-awaited ‘July Declaration’ will be officially read out at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka on Tuesday (August 5) at 5 pm. This information was given in a post on the Chief Advisor’s verified Facebook page on Sunday (August 3).

“ছত্রিশ জুলাই—গত বছর এই দিনে পৃথিবী দেখেছিল এক অভাবনীয় গণ-অভ্যুত্থান, যার ফলে বাংলাদেশ থেকে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিল ফ‍্যাসিস্ট। বহু শহীদের রক্ত ও যোদ্ধাদের ত্যাগের পথ ধরে পুরো বাংলাদেশ এক হয়েছিল। পথে পথে ছিল উল্লাসমুখর জনতার জোয়ার। বাংলাদেশের বহু রাস্তায় আবেগাপ্লুত মানুষ সৃষ্টিকর্তাকে ধন্যবাদ জানাচ্ছিলেন। এক বছর পর আবার ফিরে এসেছে ছত্রিশ জুলাই। এই দিনে ঘোষিত হতে যাচ্ছে জাতির আকাঙ্ক্ষিত ‘জুলাই ঘোষণাপত্র’। এই উপলক্ষে সারা দিনব্যাপী আয়োজন থাকছে মানিক মিয়া অ্যাভিনিউয়ে।”
Translation: July 36th—Last year, on this day, the world witnessed an unimaginable mass uprising, as a result of which the fascists fled Bangladesh. The entire Bangladesh was united through the blood of many martyrs and the sacrifice of warriors. There was a wave of jubilant crowds on the way. Emotional people were thanking the Creator on many streets of Bangladesh. July 36th has returned after a year. The nation’s long-awaited ‘July Declaration’ is going to be announced on this day. On this occasion, there will be a day-long event at Manik Mia Avenue.

The day-long program titled ’36 July Celebration’ has also been added to the post.

According to the program—
