Witnesses Describe the Scene
A local man named Sohag Hossain, who saw the body, said:
“The throat was cut. The man in the blue T-shirt had blood on his head and face. There were also blood stains on the car,” he said.
Sohag added that police officers from Lalpur Police Station arrived soon after the report and started questioning nearby residents.
He also mentioned the location:
“On the west side of the spot is the Sugar Mill School and on the east are several houses. Only 10 meters away is the Gopalpur railway gate where people usually stay all night. But due to rain, not many people were around during the incident.”
Suspect Being Questioned
Mominuzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalpur Police Station, shared the preliminary findings:
“Initially, it appears the driver went to Bonpara from Veramara with a passenger. This incident happened on the way back. The person who was in the car is now being questioned.”
The police also confirmed that multiple teams are working in the field to identify and arrest those responsible for the murder.
