Government Sets Fixed Prices on Eggs

Various views have been made on the government’s attempt to fix the price of eggs. The decision has had unexpected implications, despite expected reduction in the cost of eggs for consumers. Citing the fixed prices as unprofitable, a few distributors have ceased selling eggs. Some markets have seen price increases as a result of supply limitations.
To solve these problems, the government must act. To attract wholesalers, one way to improve fixed pricing is to raise them. Giving distributors subsidies to help them cover the costs of selling eggs at the set prices is an additional choice.
It is also important to note that the fixed prices may not be sustainable in the long run. If the cost of producing eggs increases, the government may need to raise the fixed prices.
In the meantime, consumers may need to be patient and wait for the egg market to stabilize.
