Popular messaging app WhatsApp has added a new feature called “Schedule Call” that will allow users to set up group calls in advance directly from the app. Along with this, several new tools like hand raise, reaction emojis, and real-time alerts have been introduced to make conversations more interactive and organized.
WhatsApp Introduces “Schedule Call” Feature
WhatsApp has launched a brand-new feature called Schedule Call. With this update, users can now fix the date and time for a group call in advance. This can be done directly from the Calls tab of the app.
According to Times of India, this feature aims to make both friendly chats and professional meetings more systematic and enjoyable.
How It Works

Users can tap on the “+” button in the Calls tab.

From there, they can choose a specific date and time to schedule a group call.

Once scheduled, the call will appear in a separate section of the app.

All participants will be able to see the call details and even add it to their own calendar.

Before the call starts, participants will automatically receive a notification as a reminder.

New Interaction Tools Inside Calls
Along with scheduling, WhatsApp has also added a few new tools to improve group call interactions:

Hand Raise Option – Anyone who wants to speak can raise their hand virtually without disturbing the flow of conversation.
Bangla: “হ্যান্ড রেইজ অপশন: কেউ কথা বলতে চাইলে হাত তোলার মাধ্যমে সংকেত দিতে পারবেন, যাতে আলাপচারিতার প্রবাহ ব্যাহত না হয়।”
Translation: “Hand Raise Option: If someone wants to talk, they can give a signal by raising their hand so that the flow of conversation is not interrupted.” -
Reaction Emojis – Users can quickly react during calls by sending emojis.
Bangla: “রিঅ্যাকশন ইমোজি: দ্রুত প্রতিক্রিয়া জানানোর জন্য কল চলাকালীন ইমোজি পাঠানো যাবে।”
Translation: “Reaction Emojis: Emojis can be sent during calls to give instant reactions.” -
Real-Time Alerts – Hosts who share the call link will now get real-time alerts whenever someone joins using the link.
Bangla: “রিয়েল-টাইম অ্যালার্ট: যাঁরা কল লিংক শেয়ার করেছেন, তারা জানতে পারবেন কে কখন লিংক ব্যবহার করে যুক্ত হচ্ছেন।”
Translation: “Real-Time Alerts: Those who shared the call link will know who joins and at what time.”
