Outrage against BJP and DMK

At this time he also expressed his anger on BJP. The dominance of silver screen superstars in Tamil politics is not a new phenomenon. At the rally, Vijay referred to the BJP as the ‘ideological enemy’ and the ruling DMK as the ‘only political enemy’. Actor Vijay said, ‘Our only ideological enemy is the BJP. And our political enemy is the DMK-Dravidya Munnetra Kazhagam. Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam-TVK is not a party that fears anyone or runs any underground mafia business. The strength of the entire Tamil Nadu is with us. Let us declare war on the fascist BJP and the poisonous DMK.

Then he added,

“A lion is always a lion. When it roars once, the sound vibrates up to eight kilometers. There are many foxes in the jungle, but there is only one lion. The lion is the king of the jungle. The lion knows how to survive.”

Criticizing Modi, Vijay said,

“You may think that your journey will be smooth till 2029. But I am making it clear that just as water does not remain in a lotus leaf, Tamils will not remain with the BJP.”

According to political analysts in the country, Thalapathy Vijay is trying to bring his party to the voters as a third front in Tamil Nadu politics. Vijay is trying to present his party as an alternative to the state’s ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-DMK and the opposition AIADMK.

Thalapathy Vijay formally entered politics last year by founding the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK). The upcoming 2026 state assembly elections will be his first electoral contest.
