Dhaka North City Launches 25 Poster Boards to Stop Random Posters

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has introduced new poster boards in the city to control random poster placement. The DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz warned that anyone who puts posters outside the fixed spots and harms the city’s beauty will face fines at commercial rates.

New Poster Boards Inaugurated

On Sunday, DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz inaugurated the installation of poster boards at Agargaon Taltala Bus Stand in Dhaka.

He said,

“Those who put posters outside the designated places and destroy the beauty of the city will be fined at commercial rates.”

Number and Size of Poster Boards

DNCC has now launched:

  • 10 new poster boards

  • 15 renovated boards

The new boards are 5 feet by 8 feet in size, while the renovated ones range from 16–25 feet by 5 feet.

Future Expansion Across the City

The administrator explained that this is only the beginning.
At first, 25 boards have been set up at different spots in the city. Later, more boards will be placed in:

  • Every ward

  • Busy road intersections

  • Educational institutions

  • Cultural centres

Posters Allowed Free of Cost

Speaking to journalists, Mohammad Ejaz said that the poster boards are meant to keep the city beautiful and make things easier for residents.

He added,

“In these permanent boards, any kind of political or commercial poster can be placed free of cost.”

Call for Public and Political Cooperation

The DNCC administrator requested both citizens and political leaders to help keep the city clean and organized.

He emphasized,

“To ensure posters are placed only in fixed areas, everyone’s participation is necessary.”

Officials Present at the Event

The program was also attended by DNCC’s Chief Engineer Brigadier General Md. Moin Uddin along with other senior officials.

Goal of the Initiative

Through this initiative, DNCC aims to bring a disciplined and planned poster management system in Dhaka, while also improving the city’s beauty and making life easier for residents.
