Kazi Rakibul Hasan, a BUET student and teacher at an EdTech platform, made a Facebook post expressing his strong support for the ongoing protest by engineering university students. He emphasized that these meritorious students do not come to the streets unless their backs are against the wall, and their movement is not just for themselves but for the country.
Protest Is for the Nation, Not Just Students
In his post, Kazi Rakibul Hasan wrote:
Translation: “These meritorious students, who never come to the streets unless pushed to the wall, are now protesting. And this protest is not for themselves, but for the country.”

Struggles of Students Abroad
He also highlighted the pain of leaving one’s homeland for opportunities abroad.
Translation: “Does anyone willingly want to stay thousands of kilometres away from their country, mother, soil, and family?”
Concern About Brain Drain
Kazi Rakibul Hasan expressed frustration about the lack of opportunities for Bangladesh’s brightest minds, which forces them to move abroad.
Translation: “Without giving proper opportunities to the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ talents, chanting thousands of slogans against brain drain is useless, completely useless.”
