A lecturer, Sirajum Munira Rumi, at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada has Present Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) VP candidate Sadiq Kayem with global climate activist Greta Thunberg, introduced both as youth icons in his class.
On his Facebook post, the lecturer wrote:
“Today, I presented two youth icons to my students at the University of Saskatchewan! Dear Sadiq, it is time to maintain your international profile, as you are becoming a global youth icon.”
This presenting highlights how Sadiq Kayem’s activism and growing influence in Bangladesh’s student politics are being recognized beyond national borders.
