BNP’s Tuku Urges Youth to Cast Their First Vote for “Dhaner Shish”

Call to the Young Voters

BNP’s Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku encouraged the youth to support the BNP in the coming election by casting their vote to Dhaner Shish. Speaking at a gathering in Tangail, he said that BNP will work for development across the country if voted into power.

He stated (in Bangla):

“তরুণদের প্রথম ভোটটি হোক ধানের শীষেই।”

Translation:
“The first vote of the youth should go to the Dhaner Shish.”

Development Promises

On Saturday, September 13, Tuku attended a public meeting at Gosaibari Kumulli area of Kortia Union, Tangail Sadar upazila. As the chief guest, he promised that BNP will focus on development in all sectors.

He said (in Bangla):

“বিএনপি আগামীতে জনগণের ভোটে নির্বাচিত হলে সব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান ও রাস্তাঘাটসহ সার্বিক উন্নয়ন করবে।”

Translation:
“If BNP is elected with the people’s vote, it will ensure the development of all educational institutions, roads, and overall infrastructure.”

A Pledge for Peace and Unity

Tuku also assured the people of Tangail that there would be no fear of crime or extortion under a BNP government.

He said (in Bangla):

“বিএনপি নির্বাচিত হলে টাঙ্গাইলে কোনো ধরনের সন্ত্রাস থাকবে না; চাঁদাবাজি থাকবে না। সবাই মিলেমিশে ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে টাঙ্গাইলকে উন্নয়নের রূপকার হিসেবে পরিচিতি করব, ইনশাআল্লাহ।”

Translation:
“If BNP is elected, there will be no terrorism in Tangail, no extortion. Together, in unity, we will establish Tangail as a symbol of development, InshAllah.”

National Spirit First

Tuku reminded the audience that Bangladesh belongs to everyone and called for unity in working for the nation’s progress.

He added (in Bangla):

“এ দেশটা আমাদের সবার। এর জন্য সবাই মিলেমিশে দেশকে ভালোবেসে বুকে ধারণ করে, লালন করে ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে উন্নয়নের কাজ করে যাব। মনে রাখতে হবে সবার আগে বাংলাদেশ।”

Translation:
“This country belongs to all of us. We must love it, hold it close to our hearts, nurture it, and work together for development in unity. We must remember — Bangladesh comes first.”

Other Leaders Present

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Azharul Islam. Among the speakers were:

  • Azgar Ali, President of Tangail Sadar Upazila BNP
  • Khandaker Rashedul Alam, Convener of Tangail District Jubo Dal
  • Syed Shahidul Alam Titu, Former Central Jubo Dal Member

Leaders from the district, upazila, and union-level BNP, along with affiliated and associate organizations, were also present at the event.
