Strong Growth in September
According to Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank, expatriates sent $1.673 billion in the first 16 days of September 2025. This means, on average, Bangladesh received $104.6 million in remittance every day.
Year-on-Year Comparison
During the same 16-day period last year, remittances stood at $1.302 billion. This year’s figure shows a remarkable 28.5% growth, reflecting a stronger inflow from migrant workers.

Daily Inflow Record

Cumulative Inflows for Current Fiscal Year
From July to September 16, 2025, Bangladesh received $6.573 billion in remittance. Compared to the same period last year, this represents a 20.8% increase.
Previous Monthly Records
In August 2025, remittances totalled $2.421 billion, while in July 2025, the inflow was $2.478 billion. These consistent figures show a steady rise in remittance flow during the current fiscal year.
Highest-Ever Remittance in FY 2024–25
In the entire fiscal year of 2024–25, Bangladesh received $30.32 billion (3,032.8 crore dollars) in remittance. This is the highest remittance income in the country’s history for a single financial year, creating a new record.
