Statement from Jamaat Amir
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has said that there is no need to respond to those who insult Jamaat. Instead, the response should be through prayers.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman wrote this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Advice to Leaders and Activists
In his message, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman requested party activists to remain calm and focus on good deeds rather than responding negatively.
Translation:
“My request to you all—those who insult Jamaat-e-Islami after seeing the people’s love and sympathy, there is no need to respond to their insults.”
Responding with Prayers
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasized that instead of reacting with harsh words, members should respond with prayers for the well-being of everyone.
Translation: “Our program in response to insults will be prayers,
In sha Allah.”

Responsibility Towards Nation
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman reminded that the main responsibility of Jamaat is to work for the welfare of the country and its people.
Translation: “We have a huge responsibility to work for the welfare of the country and its people. Everyone should respect this trust of responsibility. Let us focus on this task.”
Faith in Allah
He concluded his statement by reminding members to remain patient and trust in Allah.
Translation: “The final decision lies in the hands of the Almighty Lord. Trust in Allah and patience should be our main weapons. May Allah protect our beloved Bangladesh from all kinds of dangers.”
