Empty Seats and Loud Protests
The live telecast of the General Assembly showed that after Netanyahu began speaking, most of the seats in the hall were empty. Many diplomats, delegates, and audience members stood up, shouting in protest against Netanyahu. At the same time, his supporters cheered loudly.
The chaos forced the Assembly president to intervene to keep order. Security officials were seen entering the audience section to calm angry diplomats and attendees. Despite this, several people continued to walk out.
