Sheikh Mokhter Ahmad, in a Facebook post, expressed deep concern over people

“Selling their faith for votes.”

He questioned,

“Is Allah not Almighty? Is He not the source of all power?”

He reminded that to hold true power in society or state, one must follow two principles: sole devotion to Allah and complete freedom from all forms of shirk (associating partners with Allah).

He added that when people beg for votes instead of seeking Allah’s guidance, they lose both in this world and the hereafter. Mokhter Ahmad warned that such politicians never go beyond their circle and agenda.

In the comment section, he wrote,

Translation: “If it weren’t for the festival, I wouldn’t have realized that for many, votes are more valuable than faith. Alas!”

This post has sparked discussion about the importance of faith versus political ambitions in the community.
