Family Cat Becomes Social Media Star
Tareq Rahman, the acting chairman of BNP, introduced his family pet cat on Facebook, giving followers a glimpse of their beloved companion.
In his post, he described the cat as the “cat of the political family, Jibu.”
“এটা আমার মেয়ের বিড়াল। আমরা ওকে জিবু বলে ডাকি।”
Translation: “This is my daughter’s cat. We call her Jibu.”

From a Kitten to a Family Favorite
Tareq Rahman shared that when they first brought Jibu home, she was just six weeks old. Now, she is nearly seven years old and has become a beloved member of the entire family.
“ওকে আমরা যখন নিয়ে এসেছিলাম, তখন বয়স ছয় সপ্তাহ ছিল, এখন প্রায় সাত বছর। তো বিড়ালটি এখন অবশ্য আমাদের সবারই হয়ে গিয়েছে। আমরা সবাই ওকে আদর করি।”
Translation: “When we brought her home, she was six weeks old. Now she is nearly seven years old, and she has become ours. We all love and care for her.”
