The Incident
Today, during the Quran distribution program of the university, a thoughtless incident has spread a UIU student, Muhammad Muntasir Mahmud (second trimester), made abusive and offensive comments about the Quran and the Prophet (peace be upon him). The students present at the spot were quite angry and in response to the protest, they thrashed the accused. He is currently detained at the university’s medical center.

The university administration has worked in various ways to control the situation, but due to the strong anger among the students, it has become administratively difficult.
