Ripon Mia’s Denial of Marriage
Popular content creator Ripon Mia, known online as Ripon Video, has denied being married — even though multiple sources and his parents claim otherwise. In a recent investigation aired by ATN News, Ripon stated that the woman shown as his wife is actually his elder brother’s wife.
He said to the journalist,
“ওটা ভাবি লাগে আমার। বিয়ে করি নাই রে ভাই। সহজ কথা আপনি বুঝেন না কেন?”
Translation: She’s my sister-in-law. I didn’t get married, brother. Why don’t you understand this simple thing?

ATN News Investigation
According to ATN News, Ripon has a wife and two children but has publicly denied it. His family members claim that fame has made him forget his roots.
Ripon’s mother told ATN News,
“খুব কষ্ট করে মানুষ করছি। কিন্তু এখন পরিচয় দেয় না। আমরা গরিব। পরিচয় দিলে যদি ওর মান-সম্মান না থাকে। ও বাড়ি করেছে।”
Translation: I raised him with great hardship, but now he doesn’t acknowledge us. Maybe he’s ashamed because we’re poor. He has built his own house.
She further added that the family had arranged Ripon’s marriage and that he has both a son and a daughter. However, he now denies having a family or giving them financial support.

Parents Speak with Pain
Despite everything, Ripon’s mother said she still prays for him:
“আমাদের আল্লাহ যেভাবে রাখছে রাখুক। সে বড় হইছে। আরো বড় হোক, দোয়া করি।”
Translation: May Allah keep us however He wishes. My son has grown up, may he rise even higher — I pray for him.
His father, on the other hand, said he helped Ripon in the early days of his video-making journey. Now, he no longer watches his son’s videos out of disappointment.
He claimed Ripon does not provide any financial support, though he occasionally checks on them.
Ripon’s Reaction
In response to the ATN News report, Ripon posted on his verified Facebook account, accusing journalists of filming his home without consent. He said they entered his house and recorded his family members without permission.
The post quickly went viral, adding more fuel to the growing controversy surrounding the online star.
