A Jagannath University (JnU) student and leader of the student wing of BNP, Zubayed Hossain, was found dead inside a building in Armanitola, Old Dhaka. Police have detained a college girl in connection with the murder, who reportedly confessed that she killed Zubayed following issues related to her long-term relationship.
A police official, who requested anonymity, said during initial interrogation, the detained girl admitted she liked Zubayed, which angered her boyfriend. The officer said:
Translation: “The girl said she liked Zubayed, and her boyfriend, with whom she had a nine-year relationship, became furious after finding out. The relationship ended, and in anger, he killed Zubayed.”
