Anger Among Supporters Over Nomination Denial
However, the decision has sparked anger among a section of BNP activists after Robiul Islam Noyon, a local Jubo Dal (BNP youth wing) leader, was denied the party nomination for Magura-2.

On Monday night (November 3), around 10 p.m., Robiul Islam Noyon’s supporters set tires on fire and blocked the Magura–Jessore Highway near the BNP office in the Arpara area. The protesters shouted slogans demanding the cancellation of Nitai Roy Chowdhury’s nomination.
The protest caused traffic to halt on the highway and created tension in the area.
Police Restore Calm
Shalikha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Wali Mia confirmed the incident. He said a faction of the Shalikha Upazila BNP had blocked the road in protest.
Police later arrived at the spot, brought the situation under control, and restored normal traffic movement.
