The authorities of Metro Rail have offered a job to Irin Akter, the wife of Abdul Kalam, who tragically died after being hit by a falling bearing pad.

Since Irene has not completed her undergraduate degree, she may be appointed to any one of the three available 16th-grade positions. The monthly salary for these positions is over 40,000 Taka.

Previous Support to the Family
Earlier, the Metro Rail authorities provided the family with financial assistance of 500,000 Taka to help them cope with the loss.
