The National Citizen Party (NCP) has launched a free bus service in Anwara upazila to make travel easier for people returning home ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. The service was officially inaugurated on Thursday (19 March) at Chatari Choumuhani Market area by NCP central member Zubairul Alam Manik.
Initiative to Reduce Eid Travel Suffering
Party leaders at the inauguration said that every year, people face difficulties and high travel pressure during Eid holidays. To reduce this suffering, the party has taken this initiative. Anwara Upazila NCP joint coordinator Md. Delwar Hossain said:
“ঈদকে সামনে রেখে ছুটি শুরু হওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ভোগান্তি পোহাতে হয় ঘরমুখো মানুষদের। তাদের এই ভোগান্তি লাঘবের চেষ্টা থেকেই আমাদের এই প্রচেষ্টা। সকাল থেকে গভীর রাত পর্যন্ত এই ফ্রি বাস সেবা চালু থাকবে।”
Translation: As soon as Eid holidays begin, people traveling home face many difficulties. Our effort is to reduce that suffering. The free bus service will run from morning until late at night.

- Labour wing organizer Ahammad Nur

- Youth wing leader Monir
With Eid travel pressure increasing every year, the launch of free bus services in Anwara is expected to provide relief to many passengers and make their journey home safer and more comfortable.
