BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is currently has been admitted to the ICU of Evercare Hospital for urgent medical care.
Her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member AZM Zahid Hossain confirmed this information on Monday evening.
Why She Was Taken to the Hospital
On Sunday night, Khaleda Zia was taken from her Gulshan residence, Firoza, to Evercare Hospital for a routine health check-up.
After observing her condition, the medical board decided to admit her for further evaluation and treatment.
Doctors are conducting tests and providing the necessary medical care.

AZM Zahid Hossain also said that Khaleda Zia requested prayers from the people of Bangladesh for her recovery.
Her Previous Hospital Visit
She was last admitted to the same hospital on 15 October for a one-day medical check.
She has been suffering from various long-term health complications, including arthritis, diabetes, kidney issues, lung problems, and eye-related conditions.
