A fire has broken out at the Korail slum in the capital. Three units of the Fire Service are currently working to bring the blaze under control, while eight more units are on the way.
The fire service received the news of the incident at 5:22 pm on Tuesday (25 November). Duty officer Rashed Bin Khalid from the Fire Service Control Room confirmed the information.

However, the initial cause of the fire or the extent of the damage has not yet been determined. Earlier, on 22 February, a fire had also occurred in the same slum.
At that time, ten units of the Fire Service managed to control the blaze, but 61 houses were burned. Two months before that, on 18 December 2024, another fire incident took place in the slum.
