Warning Against Blocking Roads
On Saturday night, Tarique Rahman spoke to party activists gathered in front of the central office of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party in Naya Paltan. He strongly warned them not to block the roads and create public suffering. He said,
Translation: “The road cannot be blocked like this. We must come to the office normally so that everything can function as usual.”

Threat to Stop Visiting Office
Tarique Rahman said he would only continue visiting the party office if the roads remain open. He said,
Translation: “I will come to the office again. But if the road is blocked, it will not be possible for me to come. Have I made myself clear? The road must not be blocked.”
Instruction to Clear Roads Quickly
Tarique Rahman instructed party workers to clear the road within 30 minutes and ensure people’s movement is not disrupted. He expressed,
Translation: “If you want to see me at the Paltan office, then the road environment must remain normal. There must be no obstruction to public movement.”
He further directed them to stand to one side and open the road:
Translation: “Everyone move to the left side and clear the road.”
Rahman reminded party members that people across the country expect responsible behaviour from them. Following his sudden and strict instructions, the gathered activists quickly moved aside and traffic in the Naya Paltan area began to return to normal.
