Boycott Announcement via Video
RJ Atik, a young man whose life changed after losing his hand during the July student uprising, has announced that he will boycott the National Citizens Party (NCP). He shared this announcement in a video message on Wednesday, 26 November 2025.
Atik’s Statement on NCP
In the video, Atik said:
“আজ থেকে আমি জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টি (এনসিপি) বয়কট করলাম। লক্ষ্য করছি, তারা ঘুরিয়ে-পেচিয়ে তাদের মিথ্যাগুলো চালানোর চেষ্টা করছে। তারা বলছে মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা। আমরা স্পষ্ট লক্ষ্য করেছি, বাউল সরকার আল্লাহ তায়ালাকে নিয়ে কটূক্তি করেছে। এখানে মত প্রকাশ বলতে কিছু নেই।”
Translation: “From today, I am boycotting the National Citizens Party (NCP). I have observed that they are twisting and spreading lies. They claim it is freedom of expression, but we clearly saw that Baul Gawshar mocked Allah. This cannot be called freedom of expression.”
On Freedom of Expression
He further added:
“অবশ্যই মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা থাকতে হবে। কিন্তু তাই বলে কেউ আল্লাহ তায়ালাকে নিয়ে কটূক্তি করবে? আল্লাহ তায়ালার রাসূলকে (সা.) নিয়ে বিরোধিতা করবে? আমি এক মুসলিম ঘরের সন্তান হিসেবে কখনও এটা মেনে নিতে পারব না। আজ থেকে এনসিপির সকল কার্যক্রমকে বয়কট করলাম।”
Translation: “Of course, there should be freedom of expression. But that does not mean anyone can mock Allah or oppose His Prophet (PBUH). As a child of a Muslim household, I can never accept this. From today, I am boycotting all NCP activities.”
Continued Boycott Until Apology
Atik confirmed:
“যতদিন পর্যন্ত এনসিপি তাদের ভুল সিদ্ধান্ত থেকে তওবা করে বের হতে পারবে না, ততদিন পর্যন্ত আমার কাছে এনসিপির সকল কার্যক্রম বয়কট থাকবে।”
Translation: “Until NCP repents for their wrong decisions, all their activities will remain boycotted by me.”
