A specialised medical team from China has expressed interest in visiting Bangladesh to help in the treatment of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia, according to a member of her personal medical team on 29 November.
The doctor, who preferred to remain unnamed, said experts from several friendly countries are already monitoring Khaleda Zia’s health while she is being treated at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
He confirmed that, among them, a Chinese specialist team has shown a clear willingness to travel to Dhaka to provide medical support.

Doctors Concerned About Her Current Health Condition
Responding to questions about the possibility of taking Khaleda Zia abroad for better medical care, the physician said that her overall condition is still very critical. Said,
“The medical board believes she is not physically stable enough for air travel at this moment. Several important tests are ongoing. Once the reports are available, further decisions will be taken.”
Long-Term Health Complications
Khaleda Zia has been suffering from multiple long-term health issues, including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, liver cirrhosis, kidney complications, and several other health problems.
She was rushed to Evercare Hospital last Sunday after she suddenly experienced breathing difficulties.
