A group of students at University of Dhaka detained Adolf Khan at Curzon Hall on Friday night (April 3), accusing him of financial fraud. The incident took place after 9:00 PM, where students held him inside the Curzon Hall premises. He was released around 9:45 PM after being held for more than 30 minutes.
Allegation of Taking Money for Modelling Training
According to students present at the scene, Adolf Khan allegedly took Tk 110,000 in instalments from a student named Suhas, promising to provide modelling training. However, after receiving the money, he reportedly did not provide any training. A student named Royal Hossain Nayan said:
“সুহাস নামে আমাদের বড় এক ভাইয়ের কাছ থেকে এডলফ খান মডেলিং শেখানো নামে কিস্তিতে বিভিন্ন সময় ১ লাখ ১০ হাজার টাকা নেন। কিন্তু টাকা নেওয়ার পর মডেলিং আর শেখাননি তিনি।”
Translation: Adolf Khan took Tk 110,000 in instalments from our senior brother Suhas in the name of teaching modelling. But after taking the money, he did not provide any training.

Caught While Trying to Take More Money
Students claimed that on Friday, Adolf Khan came to Azimpur’s Iraqi Field area to collect money again from another student named Hafsa, promising to provide training. They said,
“যেহেতু দীর্ঘদিন তাকে পাচ্ছিলাম না তাই আমরা তাকে আটক করে টাকাগুলো আদায়ের চেষ্টা করছি।”
Translation: Since we could not find him for a long time, we detained him and are trying to recover the money.
After being confronted, Adolf Khan requested three days’ time and assured that he would return the money within that period. Following this, the students released him. He was later seen leaving through the Curzon Hall gate. When journalists asked for comments, he refused to speak. Adolf Khan is known as a choreographer and is often seen in various showbiz events in Bangladesh. His unique fashion style and appearance make him easily noticeable among others.
