President Md. Sahabuddin Chuppu announced on Tuesday (2 December) that his verified Facebook ID had been hacked. The announcement came through a post from his own account at 7:30 PM. President Chuppu wrote,
“আমার ফেসবুক আইডি হ্যাক হয়েছে। সকলের অবগতির জন্য বিষয়টি জানানো হল।”
Translation: “My Facebook ID has been hacked. This is to inform everyone.”

Suspicious Status Posted Before the Announcement
Just one minute earlier, at 7:29 PM, a surprising status was posted from his verified account. The status only had one word written with a hashtag:
“#Resignation.”
Background of President Sahabuddin Chuppu
Md. Sahabuddin Chuppu took oath as the 22nd President of Bangladesh on 24 April 2023. He has remained in his position even after Sheikh Hasina fled to India on 5 August 2024.
Political Discussions About His Position
There have been ongoing discussions in political circles regarding his position. Several student organisations have demanded his removal. However, the interim government has not taken any action against him so far.
