Education and Primary Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has stated that students who fail in public examinations will not be allowed to appear more than two times. He made the remarks on Saturday (April 11) while speaking at an event held at the Rajshahi Medical College auditorium.
Concerns Over Repeated Exam Opportunities
Education Minister said that allowing students to repeatedly sit for exams even after failing two, three, or four times is raising serious questions about the effectiveness of the current education system. He questioned whether the system’s main responsibility is only to ensure students pass through repeated attempts.

Focus on Education Reform
Education Minister also pointed out that around 56 types of question papers are being prepared with an excessive focus on helping students pass. According to him, this approach may be affecting the overall quality of education in the country.
Call for System Improvement
Education Minister emphasized that the education system should focus on long-term improvement rather than only helping failed students pass exams.
